if the download button is activated (you are allowed to push it) then yes it is legal to download that song off of myspace. The band or the label puts it up there so that you have something to hold on to that will keep you coming back for more. If it is a local band or a smaller scale band, they are really just trying to get their music out there and would possibly be giving away free ep's at shows anyway. you can also go to purevolume.com and download songs there. It's the same thing, totally legal. A lot of bands just want to get their songs heard.

Yes It is legal bcuz the artists put the music that they want to be downloaded and onto the mainstream on there. The ones with the highlighted DOWNLOAD mean that the artist made it so that it could happen. Its onlly illegal when som1 makes their own music page w/ som1 elses music on it and having the option for it to be downloaded.
